New Mexico Trip

Here is a quick one from our drive down to new mexico.

We have a very nice +25 C and there is no humidity at all. Sunshine and not a cloud as far as you can see, which up here ( I think we are 5500 feet above sealevel.)(1700 meters, i think).
The last stretch of the drive we had to drive through something called "Wolf creek pass" and we where up at 10850 feet. (3300 meter, i think). Anyways here are some quick snapps.

Rainy River Walleye Fish Turnament

Walleye Fish Festival 2006

Shauna's parents are the directors for the Rainy River Walleye Turnament. It was a super nice day and the whole region comes to Rainy for the event. Rainy River is a town where 1000 people lives, during the event there is probably at least 5000 people. It is the party weekend of the year with Live concerts and lots of cold beer.

Tuesday September 5th

There was an awsome sunset here last night. Winnipeg and the prairies are know for there spectacular sunsets so I thought I would try to capture one here.
We had the first northern lights of the season a couple of nights ago, but I didn't have my camera handy, I will try to get it on picture next time as it also looks amazing.

So, I bought in to this scam of being able to fix your headlights without spending $500 on new ones.
Being blue eyed and Swedish I thought it sounded like a great idea.....
It said on the kit that the head light will be "like new". To be honest I had my doubts.......
But as you can see from the before picture I couldn't really make them worse, right?

head light 2

AFTER

Well the scam proved to not be a scam and it actually worked.

Cost of headlight kit: $13.49
Cost of beer to be able to use kit: $6.35
Total amount of hours (incl. drinking beer): 2 hours

Savings on not having to buy new headlights: $515.28

Amount left over for September beer budget: $19.48 - $515.28 = $495.80
